It’s not for want of not taking any phbotos. I’ve been reasonable busy over the last 6 weeks, trying out some of the new gear & doing a few photoshoots, not to mention a holiday in Rome with fistfulls of shots to process.

I’ve started writing some stuff up but I need to convert some photos to add to the updates as all pics on this blog are individually processed specifically for the blog, so it’s not like just posting a quick link to a shot I’ve processed already.

So, plenty more shots & news to come including my recent foray into the world of camera clubs.

Before I could format the photos into the style I use on the blog, sadly my father-in-law died. All my time has been taken up helping my wife prepare for the funeral which will be on Monday. Part of this preparation has been copying some photos of him which we will display at his funeral reception.

Normal service will be resumed in due course.

I came up with “Cathus Photography Blogs” which is a website where people can go & start their own blog. It’s completely free & there are tutorials & guides to help you get started.

I posted about it in the forums at DSLR User Magazine & as a result 12 people have signed up & started their own blog.

Interestingly, when I got home from the Knebworth trip on Sunday & started processing the shots from the CF card, the first think I wanted to do was stick a few up on the blog, rather than showing a few on the Photography Forum or even on my own photo website.

I’ve added a link to one photography blog so far, which happens to belong to a guy from the DSLR User Forums.

I’ve set up this blog as a means of documenting my photography passion & my journey with photography over the next year. I’ll be including my experiences in taking photos, my meetings with other photographers & my equipment & techniques.

I also hope to include some tutorials on how I achieve what I do, together with info and pointers towards other photographers & techniques I admire.

All photographs posted in my entries will open up to a larger view when clicked on.
