Poor you, I can sympathise honest I can. After 2 weeks my right eye is still not completely better in that it hurts like hell first thing in the morning but as the day goes on it kinda rights itself. After seeing 3 different people, including a doc at Moorfields they all said it would be better in a couple of days, lies lies lies lol. Also I think a filling has come out of a tooth and it's sensitive to hot/cold, what do I do, not drink? Anything to do with my gob normally costs in the region of about £300 and normally consists of route canal treatment and a crown but I'm trying to look on the positive side lol. Being a bloke and having man flu - oooh! Just a bit of a rant from me on your blog, sorry bout that but I really hope we all get sorted soon and get out there with our gear

Daniel,

I cut the hole in the dish quite tight so that pushing the flashgun through it makes a nice snug fit & I don't need to secure it as it won't slip off.

You could use 'L' shaped shelf brackets & then velcro the flashgun to the brackets, or stick velcro strips to the dish & then secure them round the back of the flash head.

Good luck

Hi!

GREAT JOB! Looks amazing! I'm in dire straits, so I'll definitely give this a go! I have a Metz 45 CL-1 and a Metz 60 CT-1. Do you think it can be applied to these? How do you make the beauty dish hold on to the flashgun?

I used to get some sort of muscular pain in my neck/shoulder region after spending days of extended periods at the computer. The only thing that helped was time away from the computer! Photography helped in that regard, but taking photographs isn't going to help you much right now! However, you could get out and about finding new photo locations.

Having a cold's a bummer especially at this time of year. Almost everyone I know has or is suffering with something this Christmas. It's not good.

Hmmm, if I were starting afresh, I'd be tempted to take a good look at Nikon. That D700 looks mighty impressive from the dcresource.com review especially the active D-Lighting and extended bracketing features. Nikon's 14-24mm lens looks amazing.

Some nice shots of everyday stuff, Garry.

Being so used to using a zoom lens, I find it a refreshing change, if nothing else, using my 50mm. It's fun to get the old grey matter working in a different way every now and then!
